The City of Edmonds reported that its website and email systems were down on Thursday, affecting communications both internally and externally. There is no time estimate on when the system will be restored.

Edmonds Mayor Dave Earling said that he was able to send some emails on Thursday afternoon but the access appeared to be very sporadic. The problem is related to a service issue in Seattle and is not due to failures in the city’s own system, Earling said.

All emails sent to or from city staff will be delayed until service is restored.

Wireless access at city facilities is also unavailable.
