Scene in Edmonds: Giving back

Monday night 16 volunteers, including three children under 12 years old, repackaged 2000 lbs of brown rice, white rice, rolled oats and raisins into family sized packages for food bank distribution sponsered by PCC. The job was completed in a little over an hour, and was financed primarily by PCC's 5 cent plastic bag buyback program. In the attached picture are Esperance residents Sheri Ambacher and her son Logan Bury packaging brown rice into aprox one lb bags. Westgate Chapel opens their gymnasium for this event several times a year.
