‘Exploring Ice Age Floodscapes’ topic of May 4 meeting in Edmonds

“Ice Age Floodscapes via Unmanned Aerial Vehicle” is the topic of the Monday, May 4 meeting of the Puget Lobe Chapter at 7 p.m. in the Edmonds Senior Center.

Presenting the program is Bruce Bjornstad, a licensed geologist/hydrogeologist who recently retired as a senior research scientist at Battelle’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, Wasj. During his 35-year career, he has written numerous reports on the geology of the region. He also has worked on two major geologic guidebooks on the Ice Age Floods, and he oversees the YouTube channel, Ice Age Floodscapes, which features striking images collected using a small unmanned aerial vehicle.

The Edmonds Senior Center is located at 220 Railroad Ave. The meeting is free and open to the public.
