Author Dee Dahl will sign copies of her novel, ‘Rebel and the Promise,’ at the Edmonds Bookshop on Saturday, April 18, at noon. Dahl’s book is set in pre-Civil War with orphaned teens Sara and Aaron Rogers traveling to San Francisco for an inheritance and also to protect a friend from her stepfather.

According to the author, “There’s plenty of danger, suspense, and romance in every chapter. The characters succeed because they depend on each other, work together to accomplish their goals, support each other’s dreams. They show what it’s like to persevere through obstacles during that difficult year of 1860 and reveal the best tradition of the American ‘Can do!; spirit, which still exists in teens today.”

In addition to the book signing on Saturday, author Dee Dahl will speak at the Edmonds Library on Monday, April 20, at 11 a.m. That event is hosted by EPIC Group Writers. Both events are free and open to the public.
