Seahawks bring nutrition message to Sherwood Elementary

The spirit of the 12s was alive and well at Sherwood Elementary Wednesday morning, as Seattle Seahawks mascot Blitz and SeaGal Tamaria paid a visit to the school. During the 45-minute assembly, Blitz and Tamaria talked with students about the importance of good nutrition and exercise, and there was even a dance competition — “If you scored a touchdown at Century Link Field, what would you do?” See YouTube video at the bottom.

Kindergarteners Karson Scott, Mikey Meyer and Claire Fetherston were among the Sherwood students called up to talk with Blitz and Seagal Tamaira about their favorite healthy foods.
