The Meadowdale boys golf team won its second straight Wesco 3A South championship Tuesday at the Battle Creek Golf Course .

The Mavericks were led by Trevor Frisby, who shot a 2-over-75 to finish in second place overall. The four other Meadowdale golfers (Jack Stutz, Sam Mimmock, Reid Wilson and Mason Harvey) all finished in the the top 16. Meadowdale finished with 412 points and was followed by Shorecrest (422), Glacier Peak (445), Shorewood (461) and Edmonds-Woodway (473).

Baseball
Ferndale ended Meadowdale’s season, defeating the Mavericks 6-1 in a loser-out game Wednesday at Ferndale High School. The Mavericks finished the season 13-10 overall.

Soccer
Meadowdale defeated Mountlake Terrace 2-0 Thursday to earn a spot in the District 1 3A Boys Soccer Tournament third-place game this Saturday at Edmonds Stadium. The Mavs will face Shorewood, with the winner advancing to the state tournament.

Goal scorers: Aidan O’Neill (Meadowdale), assisted by Julio Abad, in the 35th minute; Colton Davis (Meadowdale), unassisted, in the 80th minute

Records: Mountlake Terrace 6-10-2 overall; Meadowdale 11-3-4 overall
