Spring is here and Edmonds in Bloom invites local families to attend its first activity of the year: “Kids Plant for Mom’s Day” Saturday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Edmonds Museum Garden Market on 5th Avenue North and Bell Street.

It’s a fun-filled day where children plant pots with flowers for their mothers for Mother’s Day with the help of Edmonds in Bloom volunteers. Budding young gardeners get to pick a pot for Mom, adorn it with stickers and add a variety of flowered plants for their gift.

Edmonds in Bloom is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. A $10 donation is greatly appreciated for the materials. Donations are tax-deductible.

Two other events not to be missed Saturday: The Children’s Fairy Flower Parade, starting from the Edmonds Library at noon, and the opportunity to make a free Mother’s Day Card at C’est La Vie, 320 5th Ave. S.
