Scene in Edmonds: Museum Plaza construction ready to begin
Posted: May 14, 2015 950
Construction fencing is now in place for Edmonds’ newest public space, the Edmonds Historical Museum Plaza. The old school bell will come down Friday to spend several weeks in a steel shop where it will be restored to its original luster before returning as a permanent part of the new plaza. Construction on the new paved patio area, planters, permanent displays and other features of the Museum Plaza will begin next week, and will be complete in time for Edmonds’ 125th birthday celebration this Aug. 11. The museum will be offering the opportunity to purchase personalized paving tiles for the patio area in a range of prices to fit every budget, so that anyone who wishes can leave their mark on Edmonds’ history.
