Former Edmonds Community College student suffers possible cardiac arrest, passes away at school’s Alderwood Hall

edcclogoEdmonds Community College reported that a former student, about 73 years old, passed away Monday while he was in the school’s Alderwood Hall.

The south end of Alderwood Hall was closed while authorities were attempting to assist with the medical emergency. Edmonds Community College’s Safety and Security department initially responded to the medical emergency.

The former student suffered what medics believe to be a cardiac arrest.

The school reminds students and staff that free counseling services and resources and referrals to support students and the campus community are available. Access these services at the Counseling and Resource Center in Mountlake Terrace Hall, room 145 or by calling 425-640-1358.

  1. So sad. I am a current EdCC student and was on campus when campus security, medics and police rushed to his aid. My deepest condolences go out to his family.
