Fundraising effort underway for Edmonds Veterans Plaza

Edmonds Veterans Plaza Chair Ron Clyborne, a Marine Corps Vietnam veteran and Edmonds real estate agent, provided an update on the plaza project for those attending Wednesday's Edmonds Chamber of Commerce networking breakfast. The goal is to raise $450,000 to build a tribute to veterans outside the Public Safety Complex plaza. It will include a polished stone wall with individual areas for each of the five services, each separated by a series of miniature waterfalls. There will be matching stone seating pedestals and a small memorial garden honoring those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. "This is going to be an incredible addition to the community," Clyborne said. "It's going to be really beautiful." Learn more at edmondsveteransplaza.com.
