Fundraising effort underway for Edmonds Veterans Plaza

Ron Clyborne, a Marine Corps Vietnam veteran and Edmonds real estate agent, provided an update on the Edmonds Veterans Plaza project during Wednesday’s Edmonds Chamber of Commerce networking breakfast. A $450,000 fundraising effort has been launched to build the tribute to veterans outside the Public Safety Complex in downtown Edmonds. It will include a polished stone wall with individual areas for each of the five services, each separated by a series of miniature waterfalls. “This is going to be an incredible addition to the community,” Clyborne said. “It’s going to be really beautiful.” Organizers hope to complete the plaza by Veteran’s Day 2016.
