The City of Lynnwood Community Development Department is scheduled to make a decision on an application for a new automobile dealership (CarMax) to be located on the southeast corner of 212th Street Southwest and Highway 99 (21301 Highway 99).
The applicant proposes to build a one-story, 30,000-square-foot sales and service building, a 936-square-foot car wash and a .76- acre landscaped retention pond. The average height of the buildings will be 30 feet, including screening of rooftop equipment. 589 parking stalls will be provided (402 for sales and 178 for customer/employees). Additional permits, including grading, building, mechanical and electrical permits, will also be needed by the applicant.
The Community Development Department Director will be making a decision on whether the application complies with applicable Lynnwood Citywide Design Guidelines no sooner than Friday, Aug. 7. Any person may submit written comments to the Director no later than Tuesday, Aug. 4.
