The Rotary Club of Edmonds Noon Club is again sponsoring this annual digital photo contest on Saturday, Sept. 12. All you need to participate is a digital camera (or smart phone) and a little creativity, for a day of fun.
The competition starts at 10 a.m., when six topics will be announced. Headquarters and starting point will be at the offices of RBC Wealth Management, 303 5th Ave. S., in downtown Edmonds. Participants may start any time after that, and will have until 4 p.m. to take one picture for each topic, and then submit their entries by email or SD card (no printing required). All photos must be shot in Edmonds, on the day of the event.
There is a $25 entry fee, for either an individual photographer or a “team.”
Prizes for the best interpretation of each topic will be awarded at a public reception and silent auction on Oct. 18, at Artworks, located at 2nd & Dayton in downtown Edmonds. In addition, there will be a “People’s Choice” winner selected by vote of those attending the reception, for the best photo overall.
Proceeds will support the Rotary Club of Edmonds scholarship program. For more details or registration forms, see the club website: www.edmondsphotomarathon.com.
This is a great and fun event. Every year it seems to morph into something new and fresh! Can’t wait.
