Call to Artists
Deadline: Extended to Wednesday, Sept. 30
5 p.m.

This is an open call to artists living in Washington and Oregon. The Lynnwood Arts Commission and the City of Lynnwood are partnering with Indigo Real Estate Services, Inc. and CG Engineering to commission a public art element that will be sited at the prominent 196th Street Southwest and 36th Avenue West intersection in Lynnwood’s city center. The location of the installation is intended to be placed adjacent to CityCenter Apartments.

The developer of CityCenter Apartments has chosen to allocate funds for the creation and installation of public art at the Gateway Plaza to enhance the public plaza and provide visual interest to Lynnwood’s prominent Gateway.

Three finalists will be paid $600 to furnish project proposals in November.

Final artist selection will be announced in December (dates are subject to change) with the project installation to be completed by February 2017.

CityCenter Apartments is a 347-unit affordable housing project located across from the Lynnwood Convention Center. The site is located at the intersection of 196th Street Southwest and 37th Avenue West, adjacent to the I-5 south on-ramp (signed as 36th Avenue West).
