Cascade Symphony delivers ‘perfect pitch’ regarding Business Alliance memberships

The Cascade Symphony formally launched its Business Alliance by giving the “perfect pitch” to the Edmonds Chamber Commerce breakfast meeting last week. After David Little provided background music during the meal, the Cascade Quartet entertained with a fanfare, a selection by Bach and a lively tango. Between numbers, fundraising committee chairs Jo and Bruce Caldwell told the assembled members about the history of the Cascade Symphony, which opens its 54th season Oct. 26 with a concert honoring Edmonds’ 125th anniversary, as well as the newly formed Business Alliance.

The hope is that the Business Alliance will provide local area businesses the opportunity to support an ongoing, stable financial base for the symphony with a beneficial membership providing visibility to the community and to concert audiences. Membership is $100 per year, and so far 28 local businesses have joined.

Membership forms can be downloaded from the Business Alliance tab at, and questions can be sent to [email protected].
