Edmonds Parks & Recreation announced the results of last Saturday’s Conquer the Hill 5k, sponsored by Axis Physical Therapy and Edmonds Family Medicine.
The unique 5k challenged runners and walkers to gain about 321 feet in elevation within the first mile of the course to reach one of Edmonds’ highest point, the top of Main Street hill, about 404 feet above mean sea level.
The fastest finisher was Brian Hanchett, finishing in 22:08.0. The youngest participant was Cole Mills, age 8, finishing 4th overall at 23:43:6.
The race raised $477 for the Edmonds Youth Scholarship Fund.
New Balance Seattle provided $50 gift cards to the top finishers and Walgreens, QFC, Fred Meyer and Trader Joe’s offered refreshments. Complete race results below:
