Floretum logo croppedEdmonds Floretum Garden Club has scheduled the first in a series of Saturday workshops beginning Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Coldwell Banker Bain meeting room, 108-5th Ave. S., Edmonds.

This workshop, “Gardening With Purpose,” will be presented by Kate Riley, Washington State Conservation District Sustainable Land Development Coordinator. She will discuss how to create natural, beautiful gardens designed to make good use of our water resources.

You can learn more about the Neighborhood Rain Garden “Cluster Project,” which launches Oct. 10 with an on-site Community Planting Event. This is a  cooperative project with Edmonds homeowners, the Snohomish County Conservation District, the City of Edmonds and Washington State University. Information on soil testing will also be provided.

Everyone is invited. The workshops free but donations are appreciated.
