warrior-logoMercer Island won its girls soccer home opener, 3-0 Tuesday night, defeating the defending 3A state-champion Edmonds-Woodway Warriors.

The Warriors went just 3-3 in their first six games. But Edmonds-Woodway didn’t lose again en route to the title.

“I’m not overly concerned with the result,” LeCompte said. “It’s how we progressed throughout the game.”
