Beckie Peterson shared this photo from last Sunday’s 5th annual barbecue for her downtown Edmonds neighborhood — ” a fun gathering that we truly look forward to each year.
“We welcome new families to the neighborhood, marvel at how fast each others kids and grandkids are growing, and renew the connections to friends and neighbors. This year we celebrated our group’s resilience of the recent (longer than anyone else in downtown Edmonds) power outage!
“Our regular crowd hails from Bell, Edmonds, Main, 9th, and 8th Streets, with frequent word-of-mouth invitations expanding to others in close proximity. Shari and Michael Watkins are the seasoned event organizers, and this year we had a bouncy house for the kids, a sound system for music and announcements, and a potluck of delicious contributions from everyone.”
