Burglary suspect captured Tuesday in unincorporated Edmonds

A 29-year-old Arlington man was captured by units from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and the Mukilteo Police Department Tuesday following the reported burglary of an occupied residence int the 12700 block of Maplewood Avenue in unincorporated Snohomish County (an Edmonds address).

According to Lieutenant A.J. Bryant of the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the burglary was reported about 10:50 a.m. Tuesday. “When confronted by a female at the residence, the male subject fled the scene,” Bryant said. Deputies asked for assistance from Mukilteo police and requested containment be set a for a K9 track in order to apprehend the subject. Endeavor Elementary School, located in the Mukilteo School District, was locked down during the search.

After approximately two hours, the man was located in the 12300 block of Harbor Pointe Blvd. He was taken into custody without incident and later transported to the Snohomish County Jail.
