Edmonds City Councilmembers Diane Buckshnis and Mike Nelson have rescheduled their Oct. 26 town hall to Wednesday, Oct. 28, and have expanded it to hold two simultaneous meetings at Salish Crossing — one at Bridgid’s Bottleshop and the other in the adjacent atrium of the Cascadia Art Museum. The time is the same — from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

According to Buckshnis, the councilmembers made the change after two additional councilmembers — Joan Bloom and Adrienne Fraley-Monillas — said they planned to attend, requiring that it be officially noticed as a public meeting.

“Fortunately, we have the atrium of the Cascadia Art Museum to be used for those individuals that wish to participate and are under 21,” Buckshnis said. “We wish to thank {Cascadia Art Museum’s} Lindsey Echelbarger and Jack Crawford of Bridgid’s Bottleshop for opening up their venues.”

Attendees are encouraged to come early and visit the new art museum, which opened to the public in September. Salish Crossing is located at 190 Sunset Ave.

“We hope that folks will come with ideas and potential answers or solutions to their issues or concerns,” Buckshnis said. “We are there to listen, and not set policy or promises.”
