The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 2016 Board. Nominations can be made via an online form available on the Edmonds Chamber website at www.edmondswa.com. Self-nominations are open until Friday, Nov. 6. The only requirements for board service are that you or your business is an active member of the Chamber and your account is in good standing.
The Board of Directors meets from 7:30 to 9 a.m. the third Thursday every month. Board members guide the Chamber into the future, set long-term strategic goals and help identify issues our membership should support or oppose. Board members serve three-year terms, with a maximum service of three terms.
Created in 1907, the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce helps to facilitate connections and collaborations within the business community, non-profits, service clubs and with government entities. In addition, the chamber — now with more than 425 members — has established a number of community-building events to promote tourism and bring citizens together in celebration, including the Edmonds Kind of 4th of July, Halloween Trick or Treating and the Tree Lighting.
