Lynnwood’s Blue Ridge neighborhood will host a food drive for Washington Kids in Transition on Halloween.
Families trick or treating in the neighborhood, just off Olympic View Drive and east of Lynndale Park, are encouraged to bring a snack-type food to be donated. Bright yellow collection bins will be set at the following locations:
-68th Avenue West and Blue Ridge Drive (top of hill)
-71st Avenue West and Blue Ridge Drive (bottom of hill)
-71st Avenue West and 186th Street Southwest (bottom of hill/south-side entrance to neighborhood)
Local youth groups will assist with the collection on Oct. 31 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Food will be donated to homeless kids living in the Edmonds School District. Suggested items include granola bars, cheese and crackers and fruit snack packs.
