Dear Editor:
Long time Edmonds resident and community volunteer Dave Teitzel is running for Edmonds City Council position #5 and is worthy of your serious consideration. He has my full confidence and my vote.
His impressive credentials include:
-A 35-year career at Qwest Communications, last ten years as public policy director which required: honesty, integrity, logic, patience and perseverance.
-Past President of Woodway Highlands Home Owners Association
-Commissioner on Edmonds Historic Preservation Commission
-Extensive history of volunteerism with adults, children’s ministry leader and youth sports coach
Dave and his wife Kathy moved into our condo community several years ago and Dave immediately assumed a strong leadership role. As I have gotten to know him well, I have observed a skill set that would make him ideally suited for a council seat. By talent, training and temperament he is tailor made to serve the needs of Edmonds. He observes issues that need to be addressed and forms plans to make thing happen. Dave is a person of action who undertakes tasks with consideration of and respect for the opinions of his neighbors. He strongly subscribes to the idea of teamwork with a collegial and open-minded approach. His passion to serve has been evident in his volunteer endeavors and in the manner in which he has conducted his campaign reaching out to a cross section of Edmonds residents and honoring their concerns and hopes for the future.
Edmonds would be extraordinarily fortunate to have such a dedicated, articulate leader.
