Meadowdale volleyball team named 3A State Academic Champion

mavs-logoMeadowdale High School was named the 3A Academic State Champion for volleyball Tuesday by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.

The Mavericks, coached by Machen Shrum sported a 3.83 GPA. The Scholastic Awards Program recognizes the team with the highest grade point average among all Washington high schools in their enrollment classification.

The Academic State Champions for fall include the following sports: cross country, football, 1B/2B boys soccer, girls soccer, girls swimming & diving and volleyball.

The winning teams will be presented with a special plaque at the upcoming WIAA, Dairy Farmers of Washington, Les Schwab Tires State Championships. A complete list of Academic State Champions may be found HERE.
