We welcome as our newest advertiser the Alliance of Citizens for Edmonds (ACE), which is sponsoring along with the Edmonds Senior Center a candidate forum featuring the City of Edmonds Mayor and City Council positions. The forum will take place on Monday, Oct. 19, from 5:30 – 8 p.m.

Participants will be:

• Mayor – Dave Earling (incumbent, unopposed)
• Position 2 – Michael Nelson (appointed incumbent) v. Alvin Rutledge
• Position 5 – David Teitzel v. Alicia Crank
• Position 6 – Thomas Mesaros (appointed incumbent, unopposed)
• Position 7 – Lora Petso (incumbent) v. Neil Tibbott

The forum will be held on the ground floor of the Edmonds Senior Center, located at 220 Railroad Ave. on the Edmonds waterfront. Arrival from 5:30 – 6 p.m. with the forum starting promptly at 6 p.m. Moderator Susan Paine will ask questions of each position, and the contested positions will also have an opportunity to ask their opponent a question, and rebut the opponent’s answer.
