The City of Edmonds is conducting a survey to evaluate public attitudes concerning the temporary walkway installed on Sunset Avenue, so that the city may evaluate future options. Citizens are encouraged to take the survey at this link.

Alternatively, respondents may visit the City’s website and follow the link to “Sunset Walkway Survey.” The survey will run through Nov. 20, 2015.

The Sunset Avenue Walkway is being developed to provide an all-weather, ADA-accessible, and multi-modal (bicycle and pedestrian) route from Bell Street north through Caspers Street with connection to 3rd Avenue North. According to the city announcement, the goal of the project is “to improve the quality and safety of public access and the enjoyment of Olympic Mountain and Puget Sound views. This can be accomplished by extending the City’s existing waterfront trail another 2,500 feet north where it will link to the City’s existing sidewalk system.”
