My Edmonds News Thursday received a note from a parent with a child at Main Street Kids daycare in downtown Edmonds, asking about a report of a Level II registered sex offender who had moved into a home near the daycare, in the 600 block of Main Street.

Information about the registered offender, 21-year-ol Logen Warren Green, can be found at the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office website here. He was convicted, at age 16, of first-degree child molestation in Snohomish County Juvenile Court in February 2012, and sentenced to a term of 52 to 65 weeks in a juvenile institution. While in the institution, he attended treatment.

According to the Sheriff’s Office website, Level II sex offenders are considered at “moderate risk” to sexually reoffend, while Level III offenders are at a high risk. Some offenders may have restrictions on where they can live depending on whether they are under supervision, or if they had conditions placed on them upon their release from incarceration.

Sex offenders “have a right to live where they want to live as long as it’s not against the conditions imposed by a court,” said Edmonds police spokesman Sgt. Shane Hawley.

Green, the Level II offender identified by the parent in downtown Edmonds, had sexually assaulted a 5-year-old girl, placing his hands in the victim’s pants and molesting her. The victim reported that the molestations occurred on more than one occasion and happened in various locations both inside and outside of the home. According to official documentation, Green at age 12 also sexually assaulted a 6-year old male.

The Sheriff’s Office website also contains a list of all other registered offenders in Edmonds as well as other jurisdictions using the search function. You can see the current list for Edmonds here.

  1. So… How do we find out then if he has “conditions” on where he can live? And what said conditions are if any?

    1. On the link to the offender information provided in the story, there is a condition section at the bottom. He is listed with “no conditions.”

  2. Child sex offenders always re-offend. We have enough problems we do not need more. This makes me very uncomfortable knowing my grandson is close to this parasite creep unleashed in our neighborhood. We need security close to where he’s at. He will do this again. Where are our state laws. Who lets these guys out? What are the “good guys” going to do?

  3. So I just read he has molested 2 children already when he was a juvenile. 5 year old boy and a minor girl.. You think he’s gotten better?

  4. I already spoke to the sherriff’s office. He is excellent about notifying address changes- even when only staying a night or two in a residence. There have been no community complaints side his 2013 release. He was or is employed full time at a aerospace subcontractor north of here.

Its entirely possible he chose 6th and main for its proximity to the police station because he wants to stay on the right path. Its also possible he was a child victim.
