Tuesday night is likely the last time that Edmonds citizens will have a chance to comment on the proposed 2016 City of Edmonds budget, as the Edmonds City Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing and adopt the budget the same evening.
The council will meet in executive session, starting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, to discuss pending or potential litigation prior to the regular 7 p.m. meeting.
Also on Tuesday’s very full agenda: a public hearing on adoption of amendments to the Capital Facilities Plan Element of the City’s Comprehensive Plan; and adoption of the proposed 2016-2021 Capital Facilities Plan/Capital Improvement Program.
In addition, the council is scheduled to consider approval of a compensation study for non-represented city employees and decide what action to take regarding the Citizens Economic Development Commission, which is scheduled to sunset at the end of this year.
And, it is set to resume its discussion regarding whether and where to ban the use of crumb rubber in Edmonds. (If you missed our Nov. 13 survey on that topic, you can review it and cast your vote here.)
The meeting will be in the council chambers, 250 5th Ave. N. You can see the complete agenda here.
i dont think the council will band the rubber, Half of the council was scared of the school district a few weeks ago now you put law suit and end of relationship in the equation its a done deal . Im not saying thats good or bad i just telling you all what is probably going to happen, As far as sunset goes you know where that jog is going south its funky at best at least paint it better so a person driving see where the road is better but what a wierd road with jog on the south end
