Edmonds Diversity Commission to hold first meeting Thursday

The City of Edmonds newly-appointed Diversity Commission will hold its first meeting on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 6 p.m. The purpose of the meeting will be to introduce the commission, review expectations, establish procedures, and set future meeting dates. Public comment will be accepted at the meeting.

The meeting will be held in the Police Training Room, City of Edmonds Public Safety Building, 250 5th Ave. N. The public is welcome to attend the meeting.

  1. Why does Edmonds have a sister city but not a brother city? Bias? We need diversity and equality in our city. Brothers are people too

  2. Thank you, Mr. Thomsen, for my morning laugh. I loved your comment. Have you ever wondered why most countries are referred to as the “mother country” and only one, that I know of, is referred to as the fatherland? Your work is cut out for you!
