In the latest vote counts released Friday from the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office, Edmonds City Council Position 7 challenger Neil Tibbott increased his lead slightly to 1,246 votes over incumbent Lora Petso. Tibbott has received 5,982 votes so far, compared to 4,736 for Petso.
In the Edmonds School District Board of Directors District 1 open seat, Bill Willcock closed the gap slightly against Carin Chase, trailing by 333 votes in the closely contested race.
And the Community Transit Proposition 1 ballot measure was still being narrowly approved, with 48,538 votes, or 50.89 percent, approving and 46,832, or 49.11 percent, opposed.
