Election 2015: Tibbott, Chase still lead in local races

In the latest vote counts released Thursday from the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office, Edmonds City Council Position 7 challenger Neil Tibbott has a 939-vote lead over incumbent Lora Petso. Tibbott has received 4,348 votes so far, compared to 3,409 for Petso.

In the tightly-contested race for the Edmonds School District Board of Directors District 1 open seat, Carin Chase now leads Bill Willock by 392 votes, with 9,389 compared to 8,997 for Willcock.

And the Community Transit Proposition 1 ballot measure saw a slight increase in its approval numbers, with 34,264 votes, or 51.20 percent, approving and 32,6661, or 48.80 percent, opposed.
