Letter to the editor: Thanks to all businesses participating in Trick-or-Treat Night

The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of our fantastic Edmonds businesses that participated in the annual Halloween Trick-or-Treat Night. The night was a rousing success with an estimated 4,000 children, adults and pets crowding downtown Edmonds.

We really want the public to understand how much goes into this event, as businesses close their stores early and pass out hundreds of dollars in candy. Our business owners love Edmonds and this community, which is why they all go that extra mile. We hope everyone understands this and would in-turn support these merchants by shopping local.

The Edmonds Chamber is focused on helping our business community and producing community-building events for everyone. We are only able to do these things through the generosity of our businesses that sponsor events. Our Halloween event would not have happened without the support of the following sponsors: Windermere Real Estate Edmonds, Dewar Meeks + Ekrem PC, Rusty Pelican and the Edmonds Chamber Foundation.

Next time you are shopping in downtown Edmonds please thank the business for helping to make our community such a wonderful place to live. Let them know that you appreciate all of the fun events that the Chamber and their sponsorship support: An Edmonds Kind of 4th, Edmonds Classic Car Show, Halloween Trick-or-Treat and the Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Thank you to everyone for helping to make this Halloween Trick-or-Treat Night a fun and safe event.
