Edmonds-Woodway’s girls soccer team rebounded from a 2-1 loss to Seattle Prep Friday and beat Arlington under chilly conditions to take third place in the state 3A soccer tournament in Puyallup Saturday morning.
Leading the Warriors were Emily Syberg and Molly Carden, who each scored. Hannah Hicks got the shutout for E-W.
The Warriors, the defending 3A state champions, finished the season 19-2-2.
Thank you to all in the community that came down this past weekend to support our team! We feel like we left everything on the field and to take third in state is a great accomplishment!
I am so proud of the team I have coached. They are really amazing young ladies and I can’t wait to see them continue to grow as people.
