PUD says outages cut in half; Edmonds Community College, Seaview Elementary closed

Snohomish County PUD said Wednesday morning it has cut power outages in half from its peak of 150,000 customers Tuesday night, with 70,000 customers now impacted. More support crews were headed out to continue restoring power to those affected by Tuesday’s strong windstorm.

The following closures were reported Wednesday morning:

– Edmonds Community College is closed, with all activities and day classes canceled.

– All Edmonds School District schools and programs are open with the exception of the following four schools: College Place Elementary, Seaview Elementary, Terrace Park, and Lynndale Elementary (at the Woodway campus).

While official information wasn’t available on the status of power in individual neighbors, it has been reported that power has been restored to the Edmonds Bowl.

We will continue to update you on closures as more information becomes available.
