Artsnow/uLearn has announced a scholarship deadline of Tuesday, Dec. 15 for its EDGE Professional Development Program for Visual Artists. The program is scheduled to begin Winter Quarter, Feb. 20, 2016.

“The EDGE program opened up a world of possibilities, gave me concrete tools and methods for advancing my career, and gave me connections into the local art world that I did not know existed,” says Karen Leonard, a 2013 EDGE Graduate.

Every year, ArtsNow offers the EDGE Professional Development Program for Visual Artists, which was developed by Artist Trust. The EDGE Program offers artists a comprehensive survey of professional practices through a hands-on, interactive curriculum that includes instruction by professionals in the field, as well as specialized presentations, panel discussions and assignments. The goals of the EDGE Program are to provide artists with the relevant and necessary entrepreneurial skills for achieving their personal career goals and to build community by supporting peer support and exchange.

Partial Scholarships, covering half the total tuition, are available and will be awarded to individuals based on need and merit.

The application deadline is Tuesday, Dec. 15.
