Gardening in small space topic of Edmonds Floretum workshop Dec. 12

VertGarden1Want a bountiful garden but don’t have the space? Then the Edmonds Floretum Garden Club’s Vertical Gardening workshop this Saturday, Dec. 12 is for you.

Presented by EdCC horticulture instructor Zsofia Pazstor, CPH, EPH, the workshop will include information and techniques that you can use to grow a bounty of vegetables, flowers, herbs or whatever in a small space.

In addition to her teaching, Pazstor is president of Innovative Landscape Technologies, director of Farmer Frog, and is helping Northwest schools to develop school gardens. Passionate about growing food and sustainable urban farming, she is a fascinating speaker who will share information on current practices for growing edibles.

The workshop runs from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 12 at Edmonds’ Coldwell Banker Bain meeting room, 108 5th Ave. S. The workshop is free and open to the public, although donations are encouraged.
