The Edmonds Rotary Noon Club hosted the local Ballet Academy of Performing Arts in a performance of Le Petite Nutcracker on Tuesday, Dec 15. Directed by Bethany Weed, the mini production included all of the Nutcracker’s most beloved characters.

After dreaming of a winter wonderland full of little dancing snowflakes, Clara awakens to find herself in a magical land with more enchanting characters that dance! She’s bewitched by the Sugar Plum Fairy, and she gazes wide-eyed at the beautiful bouquet of flowers and dancing Candy Canes. The dancers perform their variations for an awestruck Clara, who even joins in the festivities sometimes! When her fairyland journey draws to its finale, she must say farewell to all of the beautiful dancers as she awakens to the sweetness of Christmas morning.

    1. We just received an update on the location: The Rotary Club of Edmonds sponsored the event, which took place on Tuesday evening at My Sisters Place near Five Corners. The Ballet Academy of Performing Arts dancers performed additional shows throughout December including performances at their home Studio near Westgate and The Washington Athletic Club in downtown Seattle.
