Yamamoto began playing violin at age 3 1/2. She was one of only nine violinists who were accepted to Juilliard last September. Those interested in assisting Yamamoto with her educational expenses can donate to her sustaining scholarship fund sponsored by the Friends of the Cascade Symphony. Send a check to Friends of Cascade Symphony with “Scholarship fund” in the memo line, to Judy O’Malley, treasurer, 1031 B Ave. S., Edmonds WA 98020.
