Lions Club fundraiser nets $5,500 for Edmonds Food Bank

The Edmonds Lions Club at its meeting last week presented the Edmonds Food Bank with a $5,500 donation, the result of a six-month fundraising effort.

Food Bank Director Peggy Kennedy accepted the donation from the club, which raised the money by selling raffle tickets at the Edmonds Summer Market, IGA, the Edmonds Car Show, Edmonds Art Walk and the ferry terminal.

Raffle prizes were gift certificates from the following businesses: All Seasons Charter Fishing, Girardis, Café De Paris, Arnies, Romeo’s, Las Brisas, Copper Pot, Safeway Gift Basket, Rusty Pelican, Here and There Food Truck, Pancake Haus, IGA, Soups On, Portifino’s, Arista Wine, Chanterelle, The Loft, North China Restaurant, Canaro Geleto Café, Five Restaurant and Bistro, Hamburger Harry’s, and Café Louvre.
