If you’re cleaning out your closet this week, you can donate unwanted items Sunday to benefit Washington Kids in Transition.
On Jan. 24, the youth group at Edmonds United Methodist Church will collect clothes, shoes, books, accessories and small household items to benefit the organization.
Donors don’t even have to get out of their car. Just pull up to the lower level of the church, located at 828 Casper St. in Edmonds, and volunteers will get the items out of your car for you.
They will then take them to Value Village in Edmonds, where Washington Kids in Transition will receive 20 cents per pound of goods donated.
