Girls prep basketball: Warriors down Grizzlies to advance in District tourney

The Edmonds-Woodway girls basketball team keeps on fighting.

Led by Missy Peterson’s 27 points, the Warriors continued to work their way through the consolation bracket of the District 1 tournament, beating Glacier Peak 54-49 Friday night. E-W now plays Shorewood in a loser-out game for third place at 4:15 p.m. Saturday at Jackson High School.

A win on Saturday would put E-W into the regional 3A tournament.
