Prep boys basketball: Mavs beat Hawks in quest for playoff berth

Meadowdale High School’s boys basketball team won a crucial game in their crusade for a playoff berth by defeating Montlake Terrace 49 to 40.

The Mavs outscored the Hawks 14-4 in the fourth quarter to claim victory. With the win, Meadowdale finished the regular season at .500 with a 10-10 record; the Hawks dropped to 13-6 overall.
