A 27-year-old Edmonds man was transported to Harborview Medical Center early Sunday morning after crashing in Lynnwood. He was the only one in the car and was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
According to the Washington State Patrol’s report, the car, a 2000 Cadillac DeVille, was speeding on northbound I-5 and took the ramp to SR-525. The car sped off the roadway, struck a guardrail and went airborne. It landed on the ramp from southbound I-5 to southbound I-405.
The driver was taken to the hospital and charged with DUI.
The car was totaled in the crash. It is unknown if the driver was wearing a seat belt.
