Preliminary interviews for new Edmonds School District Superintendent March 19

ESD-color-appleThe Edmonds School District Board of Directors provided this update on the search for candidates to replace Superintendent Nick Brossoit, who is leaving the district at the end of this school year.

Candidate applications are due this week. The School Board will conduct preliminary interviews Saturday, March 19 at 9 a.m., at Edmonds-Woodway High School, Great Hall. Interviews will be conducted all day and are open to the public. This is an opportunity for the public to listen in and learn about the applicants.

The school board will then select finalists, who will be invited to spend a day touring the district, meeting with staff, and have a final interview with the board. These will occur on Monday, March 28 through Wednesday, March 30.

A community forum is scheduled for Thursday, March 31 at 6:30 p.m. at Mountlake Terrace High School. Community and staff are invited to come and meet the finalists, who will each give a brief presentation and answer questions.

Both the preliminary interviews and the community forum will provide opportunities to submit input to the board and public participation is encouraged.

In addition, an online survey is available until March 24.
