This Saturday, March 26, Edmonds kids have two opportunities to participate in the annual Easter Egg hunt tradition.
Starting at 9 a.m. that day, Edmonds Lutheran Church will sponsor its annual egg hunt, with over 15,000 candy-filled eggs spread out over its four-acre campus. Children’s entertainment and refreshments are provided.
More information on the free event is available at thegreathunt.edmondslutheran.org. The church is located at 23525 84th Ave. W. in Edmonds.
And at 10 a.m., the Edmonds Daybreakers Rotary Club will welcome children ages 3 to 10 to Frances Anderson Field, 700 Main St., to gather Easter eggs and other candy to fill their basket. The festivities will include three separate age group sections: 3-4 years olds, 5,6 and 7 year olds, and 8,9 and 10 year olds. There will be prize numbers in some eggs in each section.
The Easter Bunny will greet the children and be available for pictures. Snohomish County Fire District 1 will be there and all are welcome to visit the fire engine staff and tour the truck.
The Daybreakers Rotary Club will be collecting non-perishable food for the Edmonds Food Bank and Washington Kids in Transition and encourage everyone to bring a food item if possible.
Both activities are rain-or-shine events so dress appropriately, and bring an Easter basket or something to collect eggs and candy.
