“Breaking Barriers: Eleanor Roosevelt and Mary McLeod Bethune,” is the topic of the Edmonds SnoKing Branch of AAUW’s March 12 spring luncheon to sponsor scholarships and branch projects.
The registration deadline is March 7.
The featured speaker is Eva Abram of Rainwater Storytelling, who will share the true story of the friendship between Eleanor Roosevelt and Mary McLeod Bethune. Abrams is a native of New Orleans and a graduate of the University of Washington.
The event will include lunch, a raffle for gift baskets, a used book sale and women’s history displays. It runs from 12:30 -3 p.m. (doors open at noon) at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6215 196th St. S.W., Lynnwood.
