Cascadia Art Museum in Edmonds’ Salish Crossing was in the spotlight on Thursday, as part of KING-5’s Evening Magazine.
In the segment, founder Lindsey Echelbarger talked about his dream come true of having a museum to showcase Northwest fine art.
Curator David Martin said the museum’s mission is to remember and represent the work of forgotten artists, such as Philip Morgan Gustin, an esteemed painter from the early 1900s. The museum also showcases work by women artists, including Yvonne Twining Humber, who painted Seattle scenes in the 1940s.
Evening Magazine recently filmed the episode, which can be watched here. Fast forward to approximately 10 minutes and 25 seconds to see the segment on the museum.
Cascadia Art Museum is located at 190 Sunset, Edmonds, and is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with additional evening hours on third Thursdays. More information on the museum can be found here.
