The Edmonds City Council during its Tuesday night work session will receive an update on progress being made to regulate signage in Edmonds.
As noted in the council agenda, “Signage is a more complex and controversial topic than some people might realize. Issues of free speech, property rights, aesthetics, communication, way-finding, access, and business climate all weave into the topic. Over the past few years, all these issues and more have come up about the sign code.”
Among the issues to be discussed: temporary signs (including A-frame signs), wall signs, and pole and monument signs.
Also on the council agenda:
– YWCA Stand Against Racism Day Proclamation
– Resolution in support of Sustainable Cities Partnership
– Award of Tourism Grants to Edmonds Center for the Arts and Edmonds Waterfront
Festival
– 2016 1st Quarter Budget Amendment
