Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 425 calls April 21-27: 342 emergency medical aid calls, 32 motor vehicle collisions, 22 fires, 12 service calls, 1 natural gas leak, 1 hazardous materials call and 15 automatic fire alarms.

April 21

COLLISION: At 11:47 a.m., a car and a motorcycle were involved in a collision at 212th Street SW and 44th Avenue W in Mountlake Terrace. Firefighters transported the seriously injured motorcyclist to Harborview Medical Center.

COLLISION: At 6:26 p.m., a car struck a pedestrian at Driftwood Lane and 9th Avenue N in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

April 22

FIRE: At 12:13 a.m., firefighters extinguished a fire in an outbuilding at a home in the 6400 block of 143rd Street SW in Edmonds. The fire did not extend to the house and no one was injured.

CAR FIRE: At 7:53 a.m., firefighters extinguished a car fire in the northbound lanes of I-5 south of 128th Street SW south of Everett. No one was injured.

CAR FIRE: At 5:45 p.m., firefighters extinguished a car fire on southbound I-5 south of 196th Street SW in Lynnwood. No one was injured.

April 25

COLLISION: At 8:04 a.m., a two-car hit-and-run collision was reported on northbound I-5 just south of 128th Street SW. Firefighters transported one patient to an area hospital.

COLLISION: At 2:46 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision at 4th Avenue W and 108th Street SW south of Everett and transported one patient to an area hospital.

Fire District 1 is the largest provider of fire and emergency medical services in Snohomish County, with full-time staffing at 12 fire stations. The department serves nearly 200,000 residents in unincorporated south Snohomish County, Brier, Edmonds and Mountlake Terrace.
