Error message when trying to access our website? Here’s the scoop

MEN 150x150A few weeks ago, we experienced a technical glitch that caused My Edmonds News to be unavailable to our readers for a few hours. When they tried to access the site, they received a warning about a security risk.

While the problem was fixed, some readers may still be experiencing the issue because their website browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.) is calling up the former URL that was causing the issue. Fortunately, there’s a simple fix: clear your cache.

Internet browsers use caching to store a copy of visited web pages. That copy is then used to render that page when you re-visit it. As explained here, the date on the page is the same date as the previously stored copy, then the computer uses the one on your hard drive rather than re-downloading it from the Internet.

Here are easy instructions on how to clear your cache, according to the browser you use.
